What our listing tags mean
Last updated September 2026
A practice carries this tag when Chirofinder has confirmed: an active chiropractic license in good standing, no current disciplinary action on file with the state board, and a consistent record of positive patient feedback. It's reviewed and applied manually by a Chirofinder admin — it's not automatic, and it's separate from a practice simply claiming its listing (shown as "Verified / Claimed" elsewhere, which just means an owner has confirmed ownership).
A practice carries this tag when Chirofinder has a sourced record of a licensing board action against the practitioner — every such record is documented, with a direct link to the board's own decision, on our Disciplinary Actions page. We don't apply this tag without a citable, official source.
How this is decided
Both tags are set and removed manually by a Chirofinder admin, not by an automated score. They reflect a point-in-time review — license status and disciplinary records can change, so a tag's absence isn't a guarantee, and neither is its presence a final legal determination. Always confirm a practitioner's current license status directly with their state licensing board.
