1. Our Policy
ChiroFinder respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of the Service to do the same. It is our policy, in appropriate circumstances, to disable or remove content that infringes the copyright of others and to terminate the accounts of repeat infringers, consistent with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA"), 17 U.S.C. § 512.

3. How to Submit a Takedown Notice
To be effective, a notice of claimed infringement must be a written communication that includes substantially the following, per 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3):
- A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (or, if multiple works at a single site are covered, a representative list).
- Identification of the material claimed to be infringing and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate it — ideally, the specific URL(s) on ChiroFinder.
- Your contact information — address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the copyright owner's behalf.
Notices that do not substantially comply with these requirements may not receive a response. Submit notices to our Designated Agent above.
4. What Happens After a Valid Notice
Upon receipt of a valid notice, we will:
- remove or disable access to the identified material;
- make a good-faith effort to notify the user who posted the material, providing a copy of the notice; and
- document the notice and our action for our records.
Misrepresentation Warning. Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing may be liable for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees, incurred by the alleged infringer, ChiroFinder, or the copyright owner as a result of our relying on the misrepresentation.
5. Counter-Notification
If you believe material you posted was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification to our Designated Agent that includes:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material removed and its location on the Service before removal.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or, if outside the U.S., any judicial district in which ChiroFinder may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original takedown notice.
Upon receiving a valid counter-notification, we will forward it to the original complaining party. If that party does not notify us within 10 business days that it has filed a court action seeking to restrain the allegedly infringing activity, we may restore the material within 10–14 business days of receiving the counter-notification, as required by the DMCA.
6. Repeat Infringer Policy
We will, in appropriate circumstances and at our discretion, terminate the accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers of the copyrights (or other intellectual property rights) of others.
7. Content Owned by ChiroFinder
Separately from the DMCA process above (which addresses claims that your copyright was infringed by content on our Service), our own compiled directory data, site design, and original written content (including blog posts) are protected under our Terms of Service § 9. Requests to license or reproduce ChiroFinder's own content should be directed to legal@chirofinder.co, not through the DMCA process.
8. False Claims
Submitting a knowingly false takedown or counter-notification may expose you to liability as described in Section 4. If you are unsure whether material infringes a copyright, consider consulting an attorney before submitting a notice.
