Gohl Clinic Of Chiropractic

My name is Bethany Williams and I live in Escondido California. I wanted to share the wonderful experience I have had at the Gohl chiropractic clinic in Carlsbad with Dr. Joseph P Kametz. I actually first reach out for my 26 year old son Evan who has Down’s Syndrome and has had terrible back and nerve pain which began Dec. 2024, after a car accident. Evan was getting physical therapy and acupuncture which helped but the pain always came back. With Dr. K, Evan started feeling the results right away and after 6 adjustments the nerve pain stopped and the pain in his back is much better and manageable. That is why two weeks after Evan started going, my lower back started to hurt again so I decided to make an appointment to see if he could help me with the pain I’ve had for almost 20 years. I usually can manage it with hot Yoga however over the past five years, the pain has been more severe. I love that this clinic takes x-rays prior to your first adjustment and then they take another set of x-rays after your 20th adjustment where he shows you the improvement which in my case, was unbelievable! Dr. K is very knowledgeable, gentle and deliberate unlike the adjustments I have received from another chiropractor in town, which seemed too quick and sometimes stressed me out because of the force used. Dr. K is also helping me with my osteoarthritis pain that I have in my neck. In addition to feeling better, I have learned so much about why chiropractic care is important and how it affects the entire body not just the pain that I am currently having. I’m thankful that our family has found a Chiropractor that we can hopefully see for the rest of our lives to maintain our healthy lifestyle. On a sidenote, my husband is going now for pain in his lower back and hip and my son Evan loves going to Dr. K. He always makes Evan feel very special and he’s never stressed about the adjustment. I tried one adjustment with another chiropractor with Evan years ago and it actually hurt him to where it took a few months for him to recover. I am beyond thankful for this office and I would recommend to my family and friends.

I can’t find the way enough to thank Dr. Joseph P. Kametz for how I am feeling right now. I live in Oceanside, I was suffering from low back pain for many years, pain appeared to certain movements and disappear, but one time I just couldn’t get any better and while I was on Facebook an ad for The Gohl Clinic appeared I decided to check out and look at the reviews and how Dr. Joseph was able to help many people, so I called the clinic and made an appointment. Staff members are very friendly and took care of me since I step into the clinic. I was not able to sleep well, and waking up felt horrible because I struggled to find a good position to get up out of bed. I couldn’t stand up straight, and had difficulty walking as well because of my pain. Dr. Joseph evaluated me and started right away getting the help I needed. Now, I feel so much better, I am able to do the things I couldn’t do before, I followed every recommendation that Dr. Joseph is giving me and now I can tell you that I feel like a new person. I can sleep, I can wake up without fear to feel pain, I can walk and bend so much better. I will definitely recommend Dr. Joseph to anyone who’s going through back pain. I've been going to Dr Kametz for over 10 years...At 71, I feel strong & fit. Any time there's an issue, he knows exactly what to do. I'm so grateful for his services & knowledge. His whole staff is amazing as well.

I’ve used chiropractic care for years after a job related back injury to avoid surgery, but would deal with flair ups regularly. When I learned about the Gonstead method and Dr Kametz it made sense to me and I gave it a try. I’ve noticed huge improvements and seen the changes with my before and after X-rays. I definitely recommend! It has help me to continue with my demanding career and life as healthy and pain free as possible.

I first started at the Gohl Clinic because of neck pain, but I was also in the freezing stage of adhesive capsulitis (aka frozen shoulder). While Dr. Kametz was treating me for my neck pain, he was very caring and understanding about my shoulder and tried to minimize any movements that could set off a zinger in my shoulder. Once my neck issue was resolved, he was able to focus on my frozen shoulder. I was very pleased with how quickly my shoulder was thawing. I have recovered much of my ROM in my affected shoulder. I continue to see Dr. Kametz for maintenance. He and the staff at the Gohl Clinic are excellent!
